ABOUT ME

Geoff Rickly is a songwriter, producer, and author whose creative life has spanned underground basements in New Jersey to global stages and print publishing. Best known as the frontman of the influential emo/post-hardcore band Thursday, he has also led projects such as United Nations and No Devotion, produced for major acts like My Chemical Romance, and founded the label Collect Records. He has won “Album of the Year” at the Kerrang Awards for his debut album Permanence with No Devotion. Recently, he’s penned articles for The New York Times and hosted a video show for Uproxx.

Now in its 12th printing, Geoff’s debut novel Someone Who Isn’t Me landed to acclaim in 2023, for its blending of experimental prose with the honesty of recovery-literature to offer a radical new take on autofiction.
